Currently, we award 40 CEUs per Immersion Program via the CA Acupuncture Board.
We will also make every effort to provide any necessary verifications to other certifying authorities, to help you get CEUs for your field whenever possible.

Training Overview

It Starts With Our Immersion Programs: deepening your practice through these transformational trainings begins your journey toward becoming a teacher.
- In-Person/Online Teacher Training Workshop: a ten-hour weekend of teacher-specific training. If you can attend in person, please do! If not, the Tier 1 Teacher Training Workshop will be available live online, as well.
- Personal Study and Practice: complete your hours with a wide variety of Immersion Programs, Live Workshops, Online Courses, and DVDs.

Teaching And Evaluation: after completing the coursework, you may begin to teach others. After passing an exam, and 30 hours of teaching, you'll videotape a class for us to evaluate.
- Feedback: implement any feedback we offer you during your testing and evaluation, and we will award your certification!

Flexible, Convenient Training Options
200-Hour Tier 1 Certification
This certification program is built around 90 hours of direct instruction with Lee. You may complete this in person, online, or a mix of both.
- Option 1: Two (2) Week-Long In-Person Immersions

Classes will be held at the Santa Cruz Chi Center, located in downtown Santa Cruz, California.
All classes will be streamed live online, and will be available as a replay for those who can't attend during the class.

You must have completed one Immersion Program (either Three Treasures or Five Elements) before registering for the Teacher Training Weekend Workshop.

Should I Become A Certified Holden QiGong Teacher?
- Good question!
- Of course, only you can decide whether the time is right for you. Hopefully, this will help you make up your mind.
- First, are you a Long-Time Qi Gong Practitioner?
- After all, teaching is the best way to learn.
- If you're a seasoned veteran, it will help you deepen your own practice and give you some valuable perspective. It will also show you how much you really know, and just how well you know it. Teaching also shifts the internal focus of your individual practice out into the external, giving you a sense of how your own energy and technique are truly coming through.
- No? Then How About An Enthusiastic New One?
- No, really – teaching truly is the best way to learn!
- If you're excited NOW, then there's no need to wait until you've been practicing a long time to begin teaching.
- What's important is to always show integrity when you represent your level of mastery as your practice deepens and unfolds. Honesty, forthrightness, and humility are the best blend. After all, you never know what you don't know, do you?

- It's also vitally important to lead by example and take care of ourselves. It's up to us to find our own stress management, emotional balance, grounding, and strength in our boundaries. That way we offer as much as we can – but not too much!

Tier 1: Certified Holden QiGong Teacher
Requirements – 200 Hours
Note: all of the required class, one-to-one, and product purchases listed are included with your Teacher Training Package registration.
- Immersion Program: The Five Elements – you must complete, either in-person or online, this immersion program. (40 hours)

- Teacher Training Weekend Workshop – you must attend one of these workshops, either online or in person. The next training will be held in September (10 hours)
- Register Here (a la carte)
- One-On-One – you must complete at least two (2) hours of one-on-one Qi Gong instruction with a Senior instructor. This can be performed either in person or over the internet, assuming your computer and bandwidth support this. Registration will be available in October at $125/hr. (2+ hours)
- 30 Hours of Teaching – once you've completed the course work, we'll award you a Certificate of Completion. You must now practice teaching for free - either friends and family, or the general public. (30 hours)
- DVD Materials Included – home study with the Qi Gong for Health and Healing Box Set, Qi Gong Flow for Beginners, The Flow Continues, and Deeper Flow. You may pick them up at the Qi-Center or have them shipped to your door. (shipping not included) (20+ hours)
- Additional Practice/Training – using the programs of your choice, including: Immersion Programs (including any repeats, which can be done at half price), Medical Qi Gong, DVDs, Video Class Subscription (up to 15 hours), Live Workshop/Events, or Online Courses (58+ hours)
Note: all of the required class, one-to-one, and product purchases listed are included with your Teacher Training Package registration.
Rights and Responsibilities
- Use Your Title – you have the right to call yourself a "Certified Holden QiGong Teacher" verbally, in your teaching, and in print or online, including marketing and other materials.
- Teach Holden QiGong Fundamentals – you have the right to publicly teach the fundamental warmups, stretches, flows, and meditations that you study deeply during the Level 1 and Level 2 Immersion Programs.
- Get Paid to Teach – you have the right to charge money for classes where you use the Holden QiGong name or methods, provided you teach the fundamentals.
- A Presence on HoldenQiGong.com – we'll add your name and contact information to our online database of Holden QiGong certified teachers.
- Maintaining Your Certification – you have the responsibility to continue your training by adding at least 20 hours of Live/Online Trainings every 2 years. Eligible trainings include: Live Workshops/Events, Medical Qi Gong, and/or Immersion Program training. Note - you may also choose to maintain the Video Class Subscription for one year, which will count for up to 10 of these hours.
